Nashville For Kids

Nashville Zoo

What kid doesn’t like a visit to the zoo? The zoo at Grassmere is a whole different experience, too, because all the animals have huge fields where they can roam rather than being trapped in cages. Your little ones will feel like they’re on safari.

The family that zip-lines together stays together! Take the whole crew to Adventureworks for a day of fun in the sun with rock climbing, zip lining, and dozens of other fun stuff.

Tennessee State Museum

Teach the kids their Tennessee history with a visit to the capitol building and the museum housed inside. Many of the exhibits stick around a while, and others come and go to make room for more learning.

Adventure Science Center

More learning abounds at the Adventure Science Center. The center of the building is a four-story playground filled with all sorts of lessons for little ones. When they’re ready to slow down, you can take in the story of our solar system at the Sudekum Planetarium.

Nashville Symphony

Encourage a love for all music early by visiting some of the kid-friendly shows at the Nashville Symphony. You might be surprised how many of the concerts keep music lovers of all ages in mind.

Nashville Sounds

Nothing says American family like an evening of minor league baseball. The kids activities never stop at Greer Stadium, with mascot antics, a playground, and, of course, the actual baseball game.

Nashville Children’s Theatre

For even more learning and culture, take the kids out for a night at the theater. The Children’s Theater was founded in 1931 and carries with it a host of history and charm. The shows are performed year round and have earned the theater the distinction of being one of the top five children’s theaters in the country by TIME Magazine.

Nashville Public Library

In addition to great books for all ages, the Nashville Public Library also offers bi-weekly puppet shows perfect for all ages. Sometimes you’ll also find special exhibits that will teach your kids something new on every visit.
