Green Hills

Considered by many to be the shopping capital of Nashville, Green Hills is where you want to be if you enjoy designer duds, delicious food, and a cold pint of beer or two. The Mall at Green Hills houses some of the finest retailers in the world, including Tiffany & Co., Louis Vuitton, Kate Spade, Burberry, Jimmy Choo, Michael Kors, and Coach. Of course, the larger department stores—Dillard’s, Nordstrom, and Macy’s—all carry plenty of designer fashions, too.

If shopping malls aren’t your cup of tea, worry not. The Hill Center also features several designer stores without the cramped and crowded corridors of a mall, with shops like Anthropologie, Merrell, and Whole Foods. Green Hills also boasts plenty of locally owned boutiques with a wide variety of products. You’ll love Nadeau, a furniture store with all the designs you love at a fraction of the cost. Parnassus Books, owned by acclaimed author Ann Patchett, also calls this neighborhood home.

Green Hills doesn’t stop when the shops close, either. Corner Pub serves drinks till the wee hours of the morning. If you prefer something with a bit of style and flash, F. Scott’s will give you a night of jazz and signature cocktails you’ll not soon forget. Even after these close, the Greenhouse Bar is open to serve you.

Homes in this area are as varied and wonderful as the shopping and dining. The area is compact, so condos comprise much of the residential living. As you move away from the hustle and bustle, houses get bigger and more elegant. Some of the streets might just have an historic cottage or Tudor-style home, while others boast modern designs. Whichever you desire, you’ll find plenty, and most will be within walking distance of all the fun Green Hills has to offer.
