Downtown Nashville

Downtown Nashville is made up of several different districts, from the financial to the honky tonk. Of course, these aren’t the official names, but everyone knows where they are anyway. During the day, the city teems with people going to work in highrise office buildings, and at night, the lights of Broadway and Second Avenue come alive.

You’ll find plenty to keep busy, with Tootsie’s Orchid Lounge or Rippy’s offering up live music at any time of night or day. Robert’s Western World consistently tops Nashville’s “Best Of” lists, and you can’t miss the music at The Stage, either. The SoBro area is home to the Bridgestone Arena, the Country Music Hall of Fame, the brand new Nashville City Center, and the Schermerhorn Symphony Center.

Culture abounds downtown, too. Make plans to spend some time at the latest exhibit at The Frist Center for Visual Arts, or take in a show at the Ryman Auditorium. The Tennessee Performing Arts Center always features the latest Broadway musicals, as well as legendary artists from all over the world. If you want to call downtown your home, you have plenty of options, too. Luxury living is available at the Viridian, or you could choose one of the many lofts located over various businesses in the hottest parts of town.
